NdFeB magnet:
Ndfeb magnet,the third generation of rare-earth permanent magnet,is the most powerful and advanced permanent magnet today.
Ndfeb is named as “Magnet King”for its high remanence,high energy.Moreover,it has the high performance and high cost ration, because of the rich rare earth resources in China and the ever-changing production process and technological progress.
The production process:
1.The powdered mixture is pressed under great pressure into molds.
2.The material is then sintered, cooled, and then ground or sliced into the desired shape.
3.Coatings are then applied if required. Finally, the blank magnets are magnetized by exposing them to a very powerful magnetic field in excess of 30 KOe.
Coating:
This vulnerability is addressed in many commercial products by adding a protective coating to prevent exposure to the atmosphere. Nickel plating or two-layered copper-nickel plating are the standard methods, although plating with other metals, or polymer and lacquer protective coatings are also in use.
